Jim

Jim began his high school officiating career
in 1957 in Arkansas where he worked several state
championship games through 1971. In 1972 he worked high school
games in Texas High School Athletics where he worked four state
championship games. He joined the Southland Football Conference
in 1973 as a Referee and worked games there until 1989. During
that time span he worked eight Division 1AA playoff games.
Jim became Supervisor of Officials of the Southland Conference in
1989 and held that position until he was named Coordinator of Football Officials
in the Western Athletic Conference in 1999. He is currently serving a two year
term as chairman of the CCA Supervisors. Jim was hired by the National Football
League in 1999 as an instant replay video coordinator. In 2000, Jim was hired as
a full time Replay Official by the NFL. In addition to
Jim's supervisory duties he is the Executive Director of the Texas Association
of Sports Officials (Southwest Officials Association), an organization that
furnishes all officials for the State of Texas High School Athletics in all its'
sanctioned sports (Football, Basketball, Baseball,
