
Bill Carollo - NFL
Bill is a Wisconsin native and attended the
University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. He began officiating high school
football, basketball and baseball in Wisconsin before being selected
as the youngest official to work football in the Big Ten Conference.
In addition to being a former NCAA football and basketball official,
Bill served as the Milwaukee Brewers Official Scorer for the
American League.
Some collegiate football officiating highlights
include: Michigan vs. Ohio State, Notre Dame vs. Miami and the 1988
Rose Bowl. In 1989, Bill reached the pinnacle of sports
officiating--The NFL. Beginning with the first season he was
eligible, Bill has consistently participated in post-season
playoffs, including seven (7) NFL Championship games.
In 1996, Bill was chosen to work Super Bowl XXX,
which included the Dallas Cowboys and the Pittsburgh Steelers as
well as Super Bowl XXXVII with Tampa Bay beating the Oakland
Raiders. In addition to Bill’s responsibilities on the field, Bill
served as the Executive Director of the NFL Referees Association
until 2006.
In June of 2004, Bill retired from IBM after
thirty (30) years of service and is currently the Vice President of
Global Sales for Manpower in Milwaukee.
Bill and his wife Mo have four children: Anna
(24), Joe (22), Laura (20), Emma (18) and reside in Shorewood,
Wisconsin.
