Carl began officiating in the Long Beach Unit of the CFOA in
1980. During his years with the association, he held positions as a board
member, crew chief and as an instructor in both high school and NCAA classes. In
1995, he was honored to follow in his father's footsteps by being appointed to
the Pac-10 where he worked for five seasons. Following the 1999 season where he
worked in both the Pac-10 and the WAC, he was added to the roster of officials
in the NFL where he currently works as a side judge.
Carl resides in Whittier, CA. with his wife Nanette, son Ben,
and daughter, Melissa..
