Bill
Leavy - NFL
Bill and his wife Cheryl live in San Jose, California. Bill
began his football officiating in Santa Clara working high school for FerMar
Corporation. He began working JC football in 1982 and was added to the staff of
the PCAA/Big West in 1984. Bill has worked many post-season bowl games including
the Independence, Freedom, California and Las Vegas. He was added to the staff
of the NFL in 1995 and worked a Divisional Playoff (Pittsburgh - New England) in
1996, a Wild Card game (Jacksonville - Denver) in 1997, and a Divisional Playoff
(NY Jets - Jacksonville) in 1998. In 1998 Bill was hired as the Coordinator of
Football Officials in the WAC and in 1999 he was appointed Coordinator of
Football Officials in the Mountain West Conference. In 1999 Bill worked the NFL
Wild Card game (Washington - Detroit) and in 2000 worked Super Bowl XXXIV (St.Louis
- Tennessee). Bill worked the 2001 Divisional Playoff Game (New Orleans -
Minnesota).
