Richardson
- NFLBill and his wife Barbara live in Novato,
California. Bill began his officiating in San Francisco in 1967. He joined the
PAC-10 in 1977 and retired in 1999 as one of the most respected Referees in the
nation.
Bill has worked several bowl games including the Cotton, Fiesta, and East/West.
He also worked in the World League and USFL. Bill has been past chairman of the
board of the National Association of Sports Officials (NASO) and was hired in
1998 by the Arena Football League as a crew chief. In 1999 he was assigned as
the crew chief for the National Championship Game. Bill currently is one of 15 NFL Observers, and still scouts officials for the League. He also is an Instant
Replay official for the PAC-10.
