Dan began officiating football in 1980 at the high school level for the Northern California Football Officials Association.  In 1986, he began officiating junior college and small college football games.  Currently, Dan is working in the Western Athletic Conference at the Referee position.  In addition, Dan is Co-Supervisor of Officials for The Community College Football Officials Association.  The Organization assigns and trains officials to work at the junior college level in the Central and Northern California areas.

Dan has worked eight Division II Playoff games, including a National Semi-Final game. He has also worked a California State Junior College Championship game and a National Junior College Championship game

Additionally, Dan has worked the 2000 Rivals.Com and Hula Bowl, 2001 Insight.Com Bowl, 2002 Pigskin Classic, 2003 Seattle Bowl, 2004 Tangerine Bowl,  2005 Continental Tire Bowl, 2006 Sun Bowl, and the 2007 Liberty Bowl.

Dan has maintained a private dental practice at the same location in San Bruno, California for the past 29 years.  Dan and his wife, Linda, have two girls and 5 grand-daughters.
