Sid lives in
Torrance, California. He began his officiating career in Southern
California in 1962. He began working college ball in 1965 and worked in
the PAC-10 Conference from 1972-1977. He worked in the National
Football League from 1978-1999. In 2000 he was hired as a
trainer/observer in the NFL.
In over twenty
years of professional football officiating Sid worked 3 Pro Bowls, 5
Wild Card games, 6 Divisional games, 5 Championship games, and two Super
Bowls. Beside his involvement in the NFL, Sid has been a professional
baseball player and a high school teacher and coach. He is a graduate
of USC.
