Sorgen - Pac-10 Replay
A veteran of 38 years on the football field and other
officiating venues, Verle retired from active officiating in 1994. During his
20 years as a Pac-10 football official, Verle officiated in 4 bowl games,
including the 1981 Rose Bowl, as well as side trips to work in the USFL, Arena
League, and the World League - a career that saw him officiate in 5 foreign
countries. After
serving 21 years as Coordinator of Pac-10 Football Officiating, Verle retired to
become the Director of Instant Replay for the Conference. Verle and his wife Marny, a private educational consultant, live in
Marin County, California.
