Vinovich

Bill Vinovich is the Western Regional Supervisor of Officials for
the National Football League. After six years on the field in the NFL, three as
Side Judge and three as Referee, he was forced to retire due to cardiovascular
health issues. After working as a Replay Official for the 2007 season, he joined
the office as a Supervisor for the 2008 season.While on
the field, Bill worked the AFC Championship game for the 2002 season along with
a Divisional Playoff game for the 2003 season and a Wild Card Playoff game for
the 2006 season.
Bill officiated since 1983 before joining the officiating
staff of the Canadian Football League in 1995. In 1998, Bill was hired by the
Western Athletic Conference and transitioned to the Mountain West Conference for
the 1999 and 2000 seasons before joining the NFL in 2001.
Bill also officiated in the Arena Football League for six
years from 1996 to 2001 working the Arena Bowl in 2000.
In addition, Bill officiated basketball since 1983 advancing
to Division I in 1991 working in the Big West, Pac 10 and West Coast
Conferences. Bill worked the NCAA Division I Championship Tournament for 10
straight years from 1998 to 2007 including a Regional Semi-Final game in 2003.
