Jack began his officiating career in 1974 as a member of the San Fernando Valley Unit of the California Football Officials Association. While there, he officiated four CIF LA City Section and one CIF Southern Section Championship games and six Junior College Bowl games. Jack worked his first NCAA football game in 1979 at the University of Redlands. In 1984 he was appointed to the staff of the Big West Conference where he worked as a Linesman, Line Judge and Referee. While in the Big West he officiated the Aloha Bowl, California Bowl, and the Disney Kickoff Classic. In 1999 he was invited to join the officiating staff of the Mountain West Conference. While on the staff of the MWC, Jack worked as a Line Judge and Referee. He officiated the 2000 Alamo Bowl, the 2002 BCA Kickoff Classic, and was assigned as the Alternate for the 2002 Humanitarian Bowl. In 2003, Jack was selected to become a member of the officiating staff of the Pacific Ten Conference as a Referee. Jack is the Instructional Chairman of the Southern California Collegiate Football Officials Association.

Jack is married and lives with his wife and two sons in Southern California where he works as a Project Manager and enjoys playing golf in his spare time.
